Pressure-treated lumber has changed for the better. What is KDAT lumber?  KDAT stands for kiln dried after treatment. It's still pressure-treated, the difference is the lumber comes with a much lower moisture content. Using KDAT for your project creates more resistance to warping and twisting as the lumber is pre dried. It also improves the holding power of the fasteners and screws used to create your deck. KDAT is a more stable choice for decking than traditional wet green treated lumber.
